FAQs

How many treatments will I need?

The standard recommendation is six 30-minute treatments. For long-standing issues, additional treatments may be required. For prevention or toning, even one treatment can be effective.

Does it hurt or is there any downtime?

No, the B-Pulse treatment is completely painless and some people even find it enjoyable! You will feel a vibration in the pelvic area as your pelvic floor muscles contract automatically. You can resume your normal activities immediately and remain fully dressed during the treatment, making it very convenient.

How long do results last?

The duration of results varies for each individual. We recommend maintenance treatments as symptoms return, which could be several months after the initial sessions or even longer.

How often are the sessions spaced apart?

It is recommended to have 2-3 sessions per week.

Who is NOT a candidate for B-Pulse?

Individuals with electronic implants like pacemakers are not eligible. Other contraindications include cancer, pregnancy, fever, and pulmonary embolism. Those with pulmonary insufficiency, heart conditions, previous stroke, cancer remission within 5 years, phlebitis, and epilepsy need their doctor’s permission. Metal implants in the pelvic region, copper IUDs (non-metal IUDs are acceptable), implantable chamber catheters, bruises, wounds, recent surgeries, nerve damage, muscle injuries, or hernias also preclude treatment.

How quickly will I notice results?

You will begin to notice improvements in the coming days with full results appearing 2-4 weeks after the last treatment.

What happens during the session?

Before the session, remove any metal objects from your pockets. Your therapist will guide you on how to position yourself for optimal results, whether treating your glute muscles or pelvic floor area. You will use a user-friendly controller to adjust the intensity of the contractions during the 30-minute session.

Is the B-Pulse device Health Canada approved?

Yes!

Is B Pulse similar to Emsella?

Yes, but there are two key differences:

  • B Pulse has a power of 8 Tesla compared to Emsella’s 3 Tesla.
  • B Pulse includes a distinct mode for treating the glutes.
How much does it cost?

A single session costs $300. When purchased as a package of three sessions, the price is reduced to $250 per session, or purchase a package of six sessions and the price is reduced to $200 per session.

Is B-Pulse eligible for Extended Health Care (EHC) insurance coverage?

Yes! Your EHC insurance may cover some of your costs, it is up to the patient to understand their level of coverage. Direct billing is available.
